ENRICHMENT
As firm believers in learning beyond the classroom, we encourage students to participate in enrichment and extra-curricular activities. Extra-curricular activities are an excellent way to cultivate an interest, try something new, spend more time on a favourite hobby and build transferable/employability skills which will be useful even beyond Skinners’ Academy.

Our Sixth Form offers a wide range of enrichment programmes and activities with the aim to help our students to support their UCAS/Apprenticeship applications.

Tutorial
When students join our Sixth Form, they are put into a tutor group. Not only are students registered in these groups daily, but tutor groups are the first port of call for any support a student may need during their two years on an A Level or Vocational programme at the Academy.

Duke of Edinburgh - Gold
All students are encouraged to take part in the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award which provides a framework for accrediting all extra-curricular activities including internships, expeditions, voluntary work, sporting achievements and personal skills. Development within these areas are essential for all students' personal progression plans, whether they apply to university or progress into employment.

Student Leadership
The Student Leadership team is made up of students in Year 12 who wish to lead, make changes and improve the sixth form and the wider Academy to make it the best place it can be and ensure student voice is heard. The team is lead by our Head Boy & Girl who are elected by their peers and members of staff.
