This has been an exciting journey so far and we are proud of the wide range of academic subjects and enrichment activities we have on offer.

This page contains information about admissions in September 2024-2025 and Appeals.

Information regarding admissions for September 2024, including open days and how to apply, can be found here.

In Year Admissions (September 2024/2025)

(Applications for Sixth Form places made other than in the course of the normal admissions round)

These must be made through the sixth form online applications system which can be accessed here. Such applications will be dealt with as they are received, and a reply will be made within 15 school days. (We are using a new applications system, if you don’t hear within that time, please contact us on post16@skinnersacademy.org.uk to enquire further).

The entry criteria which apply are referred to in the Sixth Form 2024-2025 Admissions Policy here and in the prospectus which is available here.

Appeals

If you have not been offered a place at Skinner’s Academy, the law entitles you to appeal against that decision to an Independent Appeal Panel. This panel is completely independent of the school and the Local Authority. In accordance with the 2022 School Admission Appeals Code, the admissions authority and panels have elected for all admissions appeals to be held online.

If you wish to appeal, please use this link to complete your appeal online. Please do NOT use ANY other appeal form or send your form to your local authority. It is highly recommended that you download the explanatory booklet about appeals which you should read before you complete the appeal form. Booklet Link

You should include any evidence or supporting material with your appeal form and you MUST state the grounds of your appeal at the time you lodge your appeal form. Your appeal form will not be accepted unless you give the grounds of your appeal. You may appeal for more than one school, but on different forms.

Please note that the online form will ask you to download two utility bills dated in the last THREE months.  If you do not have access to a scanner, please take two photographs with a mobile phone and upload the photographic files.

If you wish to contact the clerk – email: clerk@educationappeals.com

Full details about the hearing will be sent to you with your invitation to the hearing.
